Marathon Hardwoods - Solid Product Warranty Information

Wood Warranty
Marathon Hardwoods warrants the structural integrity of this product to the original purchaser in regards to milling defects, dimension tolerances and grade requirements. If the flooring is determined to be defective in regards to the above issues, PRIOR TO INSTALLATION, it may be replaced or returned for credit.
This Warranty does not include "normal" expansion and contraction that may occur from time to time throughout the year.

Finish Warranty
Residential - Marathon Hardwoods warrants the durability of the finish (prefinished only) to the original purchaser for a period of time not to exceed 10 years from the date of purchase. Wear through of custom colors are warranted for 2 full years from date of purchase.

Due to the natural variation in the grain and texture of different species of wood, Marathon Hardwoods provides a limited warranty on custom color finishes. This limited warranty allows for a range of subtle color variations that will blend with a color control sample and not an exact match.

Oxidation, age, and specie of wood may also have an effect on the color and/or appearance of the floor installation or repair. Marathon Hardwoods will use its own discretion in determining what level of variance is acceptable in the unlikely event that these situations were to occur.

Commercial - Marathon Hardwoods warrants the durability of the finish to the original purchaser for a period of time not to exceed 2 years from the date of purchase. Wear through of custom colors are warranted for 1 full year from date of purchase.

Finish Exclusions
This warranty does not cover installation issues that may occur that are beyond our control unless a Marathon Hardwoods "preferred installer" was used.

Marathon Hardwoods excludes damages that may occur from water and abrasives such as rocks, dirt or sand. Damage from insects, heeled shoes or cleats is also excluded. Indentions or scratches that may occur from the above items or other unnatural causes will be excluded.

High traffic areas such as kitchens, entry ways, islands (including cash wraps) and fitting rooms will be excluded from wear through warranties. If these were to occur, they will be considered at the discretion of Marathon Hardwoods and appropriate action, if any, taken.

This warranty is not totally inclusive. There may be situation that arise that are not explicitly covered or stated above. Each situation will be considered based on the variables and circumstances surrounding that situation. Marathon Hardwoods reserves the right to call in an independent expert of choice for determinations that may be require such cause.
